I try to be a great gifter, but rarely do I plan in advance. Thankfully my wife realized we hadn't yet organized any gifts for our clients. Being female, she was thinking olive oils, cookies, wine, and so on. I thought barbecue sauce. What's something everybody will like? A one-size-fits-all gift is what I needed.
If you haven't noticed, people in Tahoe like dogs. (I bet you're glad I didn't get you a dog). I'll keep this short because it's sad, but we lost our Bailey girl this year. She was a chocolate lab, our first-born child, who taught us to live the selfless life of parents. Coming home and not hearing that thick tail whacking the wall and the clickety-click of her claws as she sprints to greet me is tough.
Insert the the gift idea: Animal shelters operate largely on donations, and my wife and I thought donating to the Humane Society would be a great way to say thank you to all our clients this year.
I hope you like the gift - it's literally life saving!! The Humane Society of Truckee/Tahoe finds 'forever homes' for animals all over Northern California. They are a no-kill shelter and they are constantly rescuing from shelters who euthanize from over-crowding. I thought it would be the perfect gift for my real estate clients this year.
Here is the rediculous PJ photo we thought would make you grin........................
Off to church and the family Christmas party in my hometown. I'll be back in Truckee tomorrow afternoon, ready to meet with clients. MERRY CHRISTMAS everybody! - Teddy Runge
